Since 2015, Salford Educational Psychology Service have rolled out the Emotionally Friendly Schools (EFS) programme, to support the wellbeing and mental health of school staff and young people, across Salford and other neighbouring local authorities.
The Emotionally Friendly Schools (EFS) programme is an evidence-based, flexible, whole-school approach, it involves whole staff training alongside a comprehensive manual to support staff to develop their provision within school.
An Early Years version of the manual, written specifically for Early Years settings and childminders includes reference to Emotion Coaching as an example of something the settings could use to support and enhance their provision.
The Early Years Manual comes with a great Emotion Coaching Factsheet.
